Kentucky Derby
The first race in the three race Triple Crown series is the Grade I Kentucky Derby, held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. The race is run on a dirt track over one and a quarter miles on the first Saturday in May. The race has been dubbed "The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports" and is the most coveted race of a three year old horse's racing career.
